The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport (LWS) is the gateway to North Central Idaho, Southeastern Washington, and Northeastern Oregon. And once you're here you're just a jetboat ride away on the Snake River from Hell's Canyon, North America's deepest gorge (yes, it's even deeper than the Grand Canyon). The region is nearly paradise for those who fish and hunt. And with the temperate climate, golfers are on the greens 12 months a year. You're only 30 minutes away from two land-grant universities; Lewis-Clark State College calls the valley, "home". In other words, LWS Airport is only one reason this place is Great!

Lewiston is located at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers at an elevation of 738 feet above sea level. The valley is rather narrow with a range of hills to the north sloping abruptly to about 2,000 feet above the valley floor.
